Having recently shocked and awed the JR/F world with two amazing albums (Hymn To The seventh Galaxy and Romantic Warrior), Return To Forever was riding high on the wave it had created, riding on Corea and DiMeola's incredibly fast playing, displaying a monstrous but cold virtuosity that would eventually have a lot of fans grinding their teeth.
Kingdom Of The Coast explores the ongoing struggle between land and sea along Asia's vast coastline, including a look at the life of Indonesia's Pigmy Sea Horse in its natural habitat in the Lembeh Strait, despite strong currents and the extremely small size of the sea horse. The Pigmy Sea Horse measures just 8-10mm high and lives on the spectacular coral reefs of Indonesia. Here it demonstrates fascinating strategies for survival which include camouflage and an unusual sharing of reproductive responsibility.
