Bob Margolin gives THANKS to celebrate 50 years since he joined Muddy Waters Band. He plays the same Gibson archtop electric guitar that he played next to Muddy and The Band in The Last Waltz on every song here. He recorded one song by Muddy from 1952 and one that he and Muddy wrote together in 1977. He sings The Shape I’m In by The Band as a Blues with 4-part harmony.”

About five years ago, I began composing songs and carried an old tape recorder in my car to capture any good possibilities. Having sung with bands of many styles most of my life, and being ever hopeful, I figured I’d recognize a good song if it came to me. At Christmas about a year later, Bill gave me a small hand-held recorder. I found I could increase my songwriting time by carrying it with me during my daily walks.
