Belonging to the generation of Respighi but dying several decades later, Gian Francesco Malipiero (1882-1973) is a far more varied composer than listeners to his post-Romantic chamber and orchestral music would guess. This album is both the most comprehensive publication ever issued of his song output on record, and a valuable opportunity to reappraise an often under-rated 20th-century composer.

After the jazz/electronic grit of Khmer and Solid Ether, Norwegian trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer upped the restless qualities of his music for his third release. NP3 wasn't too much out of synch with his older material – other than a magnificent ambient opener, Molvaer returned to a base of house, hip-hop, machine-noise, and gap-filled jazz trumpet, and many of his past collaborators also reappeared, including vocalist Sidsel Endresen, guitarist Eivind Aarset, and co-producer Reidar Skaar. The album's major difference was its magnified sense of structure.

Sothebys Auction Tapes is a bootleg CD by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The recordings are taken from tapes given to Hendrix girlfriend Kathy Etchingham, then placed up for auction in 1981. These were also released as Axis: Bold As Love Sessions and The Axis Sessions, and they are the songs from the album mixed differently and a few songs that were not used on the final album.

"Let's Keep It That Way" is the 12th studio album by Anne Murray, released in February 1978. On the Canadian charts the album topped both the country and pop album charts. In the U.S., the album returned Murray to the top ten on the country album charts, a place she had not been since 1974's Highly Prized Possession; on the pop album charts, the album reached #12 (it would ultimately be the highest charting album of Murray's career on the pop album charts).
