Originally released in November 1971, the album was the first release by the band and featured a continuous piece of music divided into 13 tracks. This impressive conceptual science fiction inspired work, which was interpreted as a commentary on the nuclear arms race, was the band’s first album release and originally appeared in Germany, the country where the British band were formed and were based, enjoying commercial success and building Nektar’s loyal following. This new boxed set edition features a completely new remaster of the original stereo album mix (from the original master tapes), both tracks from the ‘Do You Believe in Magic’ single issued in April 1972, along with new 5.1 Surround Sound and Stereo mixes by Ben Wiseman and a new remaster of ‘The Boston Tapes’ – the recordings made by the band in the USA in 1970 for an abortive album prior to them signing to Bellaphon Records in Germany in 1971. Also included is the complete “official bootleg” recording of a concert in Darmstadt, Germany in November 1971 presented on two CDs. Finally, the set features a region free Blu-ray disc with the new 5.1 & Stereo remixes of the album, along with bonus video footage of the promotional film ‘Good Day’ made in 1971 previously unreleased in full.

Packaged in a slick 8CD package (and accompanied by a Rhino.com exclusive ‘rainbow’ 9LP set), the newly remastered albums appear on an array of colored discs and feature the band’s megahit "Love Shack”, alongside classics like “Roam” and “Rock Lobster”.Releasing in June to celebrate PRIDE, this is the ultimate party set. Having formed nearly 50 years ago with an impromptu jam session after a chance encounter at a local Chinese restaurant in Georgia, the B-52s have spent decades solidifying their legendary status as The World’s Greatest Party Band. Brought together by a mutual love of 50s & 60s pop music, good old fashioned rock & roll, and the campy kitsch culture they would eventually make all their own, the B-52s’ vibrant sound and free spirited musical style are on full display in this complete album box set.

"Concise" is a word not often, if ever, used to describe the Grateful Dead—the band who just released a 60-disc, 450-track compilation of live shows documenting some of shows recorded across their 25-year existence as an iconic touring entity. The Dead was always a quintessential live experience, with their most transcendent—and also their most indulgent—moments occurring during their drawn-out onstage improvisations. Jerry Garcia famously said, "I think of recording as sort of a necessary evil in a way," and, accordingly, "studio Dead" was always the lesser Dead, even though American Beauty and Workingman's Dead are essential inclusions in any music fan's collection, and mid-'70s studio efforts like Shakedown Street and From the Mars Hotel are well-regarded by both Deadheads and casual listeners.

Produced by Sean Ono Lennon, both concerts have been completely remixed and re-engineered by Paul Hicks and Sam Gannon, using new HD multitrack transfers by Rob Stevens with mixes mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road. Both concerts are condensed into a single ‘hybrid’ show.

The Grateful Dead celebrates its diamond 60th anniversary this year with ENJOYING THE RIDE, a sweeping 60-CD collection that maps an epic cross-country road trip along the "Heady Highway" with stops at storied venues where the music, the moment, and the magic of the Grateful Dead reliably converged. Spanning 25 years of legendary live performances, this expansive collection spotlights defining shows from 1969 to 1994 at 20 venues that consistently inspired the band to new heights—Winterland, Frost Amphitheatre, Madison Square Garden, and Hampton Coliseum, among them. Whether playing the intimate confines of Fillmore West or beneath the open skies at Red Rocks, the Grateful Dead never played the same show twice. ENJOYING THE RIDE is a thrilling testament to that adventurous spirit. With the exception of a few tracks from earlier releases, virtually all of the music on ENJOYING THE RIDE is previously unreleased, spanning more than 450 tracks and over 60 hours of music. Of the 20 shows in the collection, 17 are presented in full, with some featuring additional material from the same venue. The remaining three—Fillmore West, Fillmore East, and Boston Music Hall—are curated from multiple performances at each venue, capturing key moments on those legendary stages.
