The Rollers' biggest hits ("Bye, Bye, Baby," "Give a Little Love," "Saturday Night") were pure bubblegum in the tradition of the Partridge Family and Ohio Express…

Strangers In The Wind is the 1978 album by the Bay City Rollers. While the group attempted to have a success with the singles "Back On The Street" and "Where Will I Be Now" (which became a minor hit in West Germany), they went nowhere with it or the album so it would lead to them changing their name to The Rollers, which only helped make things worse. This is from the 1990 Japanese pressing released by Arista/BMG Victor Japan and while it was sold as part of an 8CD box set, some titles were sold individually.

By 1977, the Bay City Rollers had been playing the teen idol game for most of the decade. The group's members were understandably itching to break out of their teeny-bopper pop straightjacket and attempted to make such a change on It's a Game. Sadly, the group lacked the clout to make a full stylistic turnaround, so this album, half-penned by outside writers, represents an uneasy compromise between their classic pop/rock sound and the more AOR-oriented music they aspired to make.
