By the summer of 2005, The Allman Brothers Band had moved into a comfort zone of stability and superb chemistry. The line-up-Gregg Allman on vocals and keyboards, drummers Jaimoe and Butch Trucks, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks on guitars, Oteil Burbridge on bass and percussionist Marc Quinones-had been together since 2001 and had established a groove, both on and off the stage.
Arild Brøter has unveiled “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service Suite: Part 1,” the first single from his new album, A Spectre of Sounds: James Bond Music Reimagined. This suite comprises four themes from the film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”: the main theme, “Gumbold’s Safe,” “Over and Out,” and the iconic “James Bond Theme.” The track features an electric, uptempo arrangement with numerous twists, showcasing Brøter’s innovative approach.

The title of Best of the Allman Brothers: Hell and High Water is a bit misleading, it's actually only the best of the band's Arista-label output, which spanned a two albums (1980's Reach for the Sky and 1981's Brothers of the Road). There are six tracks from the former and five from the latter, making it a wise acquisition for those who need the best material from those records.
The 3CD, Super Deluxe adds 12 tracks not included on the original release. Bonus tracks are a combination of live tracks, studio cuts and outtakes.
