Coonskin is a 1975 American animated film written and directed by Ralph Bakshi, about an African American rabbit, fox, and bear who rise to the top of the organized crime racket in Harlem, encountering corrupt law enforcement, con artists and the Mafia. The film, which combines live-action with animation, stars Philip Thomas, Charles Gordone, Barry White and Scat Man Crothers, all of whom appear in both live-action and animated sequences. Coonskin utilizes a number of references to various elements from African American culture, ranging from African folk tales to the work of cartoonist George Herriman, and satirizes racist and other stereotypes, as well as the blaxploitation genre, Song of the South, and The Godfather.

Danny Elfman - Rabbit & Rogue (Original Ballet Score) (2016) Music

Sony Classical will release Danny Elfman‘s music for the ballet Rabbit & Rogue. The composer of such films as Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Men in Black composed the score for the American Ballet Theatre. The ballet premiered in June 2008 at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York and was recorded for a CD release in 2014. The album will be released on June 7, 2016. Rabbit (2005)

A girl sees a rabbit running across a field. Thinking it would make an excellent muff, she pursues it with a knife. It escapes her, but her brother kills it. She slices it open, and out pops an animated idol that, when bothered by insects, turns them into feathers, bottles of ink, and jewels. Thinking of the riches of royalty, the boy and girl put the idol outside in a vat of plum jam and proceed to eviscerate various farm animals to draw hundreds of wasps and flies.
