Harvest Festival is a genuinely comprehensive and thorough look at the one British major label venture into psychedelia and progressive rock that actually worked, commercially and artistically; it's a panoramic journey though a major part of British rock as it developed over a period of just under a decade. Over the five CDs and 119 songs, more than two dozen acts are featured, ranging from purely English phenomena like Michael Chapman, Quatermass, and Pete Brown to mega-arena acts like Pink Floyd, and the set comes complete with a built-in 120-page book that would be worth 35 dollars by itself.

See The Light is the first album from the Jeff Healey Band. Selling a million copies, the album rocketed the Band into the spotlight and kicked off over a decade of intense touring and recording all over the world. “The three years following the release of See The Light were a whirlwind… Almost non-stop touring, talk shows, press and radio interviews with a three-month break only to write and record a new album [Hell To Pay]. I was meeting and touring with ZZ Top, Little Feat, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt and many others.”

A far cry from the post-breakup mope-fest that was 2011's Any Man America, a glass-half-empty disaster piece that tunelessly chronicled the romantic failures of singer/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, 2013's Sway, the band's seventh long-player, finds Furstenfeld and the Lone Star State rockers in a (mostly) more agreeable head space, offering up a spacious 13-track set of slick, obvious, dreamy alt rock anthems that celebrate the flipside of heartache…

Erik Truffaz’ sweet, open trumpet tone reveals the influence of a 1970s Miles Davis. The Fender Rhodes with echo serves to drive that message home. Most of the compilation employs acoustic bass and a tasteful drummer in the mainstream jazz tradition. However, it’s the French trumpeter’s intimacy with Davis’ fusion periods that takes center stage. From the small town of Gex, ten miles from the French/Swiss border, Truffaz got his early training working with his father’s dance band. His formal training came later at the Geneva Conservatoire where the trumpeter studied composition, theory and technique. Each track is an original, composed by the quartet. Truffaz wrote "Betty," a light, lyrical waltz with open trumpet, acoustic piano and acoustic bass. A vocal-like trumpet message becomes soaked in the piano’s overlapping harmony.
