This CD contains a captivating performance from one of Elvis' earliest tours of the 1970s. Performed and recorded in Boston on 10th November 1971, this show demonstrates the raw energy and spirit Elvis displayed when performing away from his Las Vegas engagements, reminding everyone that, finally, he was back!For the first time ever, this recording (formerly in mono) has been remastered, carefully restored, and remixed to true stereo using the most sophisticated technologies. The accompanying 40-page booklet includes rare photographs and memorabilia taken from this performance, along with introductory notes.

Tom Schultz began composing music in 1969 while studying at MIT, where he joined the band Freehold, meeting guitarist Barry Goudreau and drummer Jim Masdea in the process, both later to become members of Boston. Vocalist Brad Delp was added in 1970. After graduating, Scholz worked for Polaroid where he used his salary to build a recording studio in his basement, and to finance demo tapes. The tapes were sent to record companies, but received consistent rejections.

Since Tom Scholz is such a slow worker, there were only four Boston albums between the group's 1976 debut and this Greatest Hits collection in 1997. That may mean that there isn't much music to compile, as the reliance on their biggest-selling album, Boston, suggests, but that doesn't matter for most casual fans, since Greatest Hits gathers all of their best songs, from "More Than a Feeling" to "Amanda," on one compact disc.

The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County comprises two of Foss’s one-act operas: the nine-minute Introductions and Good-Byes – a humorous yet virtuosic commentary on convention and etiquette – followed by the album’s title track.
