An insightful 20 page booklet, featuring quotes from those who have supported or worked with Chris over the last twenty years and seen his career flourish (Verity Sharp, Martin Carthy, Ian Anderson, Billy Bragg etc) along with an introductory text and song by song liner notes by Chris Wood.

London based singer-songwriter Helene Greenwood has been around music from an early age. Born and raised in Dover, she grew up listening to her grandfather playing Scott Joplin & Bach, whilst her father played her the likes of Doris Day, Stranglers, Kate Bush & The Beatles. At the age of six, she was already playing the piano, with one of her earliest memories being sat playing along with thunderstorms. “My dad was a hovercraft captain, and I grew up on the south coast so I was always very aware of the weather and how dramatically it could change. I would often just sit at the piano and play along.”

There are many turns along the journey of a heart breaking, mending and thriving again. Moments of sorrow, bareness, determination, courage, risk, restraint and resilience. When acceptance nally appears, we arrive at what is and always would be a Natural Conclusion.

MUTTER SLATER was the frontman and flute player for the 70's band STACKRIDGE, a group that established itself as a firm favourite on countless stages throughout the land and now that Stackridge have called it a day the song writing and performing bug has got the better of him leading to the recording of the new album "The Champ". "The Champ" reflects Mutter's primary interest in 60's American blues, soul and R&B as well as his persistent addiction to "a half decent tune". Play "I May Not Be An Angel" to see what we mean. Billy Bragg said "Mutter Slater has one of the greatest voices of British rock-and he writes a mean song too!" We could not have said it better.

Rubáiyát: Elektra's 40th Anniversary is a 2CD compilation and tribute album to Elektra Records by Elektra Records. Released on 24 September, 1990, it looks at the history of Elektra by then-modern artists covering music of its own past. Artists here include The Cure, Tracy Chapman, Anita Baker, The Sugarcubes, Metallica, Leaders Of The New School, 10,000 Maniacs, John Zorn and many more. Due to how the booklet is designed, I was not able to make scans, but there are scans for the inlays and discs.
