Amazing unreleased stuff recorded back in '78 by this former guitarist of Materia Gris in collaboration with Carlos Cutaia (formerly with Pescado Rabioso, La Máquina, etc.) and his former band mate Carlos Riganti (ex Alas). An album crammed with delicate melodies (most of them instrumental) quite reminiscent of outfits such as Kerrs Pink, Camel and Mike Oldfield. Without losing track of his roots, yet a bit left field from the classic South American Prog sound of the era.

Great 2 CD set released by British label Metro with the first four albums by early prog rockers Procol Harum: (UK version 1968), (1968), (1969) & (1970). These albums and the following (1971) are widely considered as their best efforts (IMHO the next 2 studio albums, & , were as good as the previous ones but in a different context). There were no remastering process but the sound is still great and the artwork is very nice. If you need just one Procol Harum CD, get this.

If you were challenged to name five rock albums that epitomized the '70s, Frampton Comes Alive! should probably top the list. Former Humble Pie guitarist Peter Frampton recorded a few perfectly fine albums with his band Frampton's Camel, but it wasn't until some of those tracks were recorded at a live performance in San Francisco and released as Frampton Comes Alive! that he became a household name. Buoyant pop, sentimental ballads, arena rock–this album has it all. This 25th-anniversary remastered package features three previously unreleased tracks from the source shows, plus an additional selection recorded at the time as a radio promo.

The legendary Red Baron plunged into a furious dogfight against Allied fighters, and was last seen hotly pursuing a Sopwith Camel deep into Allied territory. What happened next has been debated and disputed for more than 80 years.

This time, "Prismosfera" comprises a repertoire in which the threesome show an increase of both energy and experimental trend, which eventually leads to an awesome opus within the realms of avant-garde prog.

Abou-Khalil's music uses elements from Arab music traditions, together with many jazz, rock and classical references, particularly to the school of Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry, which itself broke ground in terms of introducing new global influences. Other influences include Frank Zappa, Bela Bartok, and such unexpected musicians like the Mighty Sparrow and Lord Kitchener from Trinidad. Jazz elements are present in most of his recorded work, for instance in the use of the acoustic pizzicato bass, generally played by recognized jazz musicians like Steve Swallow and Glen Moore. At the Beijing Jazz Festival of 2003 he performed to great acclaim accompanied by tuba and clarinet as well as the percussion he has always favoured.

A household name since the early '70s, John McLaughlin was an innovative fusion guitarist when he led the Mahavishnu Orchestra and continued living up to his reputation as a phenomenal and consistently inquisitive player through the years. He started on guitar when he was 11 and was initially inspired by blues and swing players. John McLaughlin worked with David Bowie, Alexis Korner, Graham Bond, Ginger Baker, and others in the 1960s and played free jazz with Gunter Hampel for six months. His first album was a classic (1969's Extrapolation) and was followed by an obscurity for the Dawns label with John Surman, a quintet set with Larry Young (Devotion), and My Goals Beyond in 1970 which was half acoustic solos and half jams involving Indian musicians.
