This is the 2001 Columbia Legacy edition of Earth, Wind & Fire's 1976 album Spirit. Released on 10 April, 2001, this features the hit songs "Getaway" and "Saturday Nite" plus five tracks not on the original album.

"Journey To The Light" is the second album by the Detroit, Michigan R&B group Brainstorm. Released in 1978 on the Tabu Records label. Produced by Jerry Peters.

"This Is Niecy" is the debut album of American R&B singer Deniece Williams released on August 13, 1976 by Columbia Records. The album got to #3 on the Billboard Top Soul Albums chart and #33 on the Billboard 200. As well "This Is Niecy" has been certified Gold in the US by the RIAA and Silver in the UK by the BPI. Off the album came the single "Free" which got to #1 on the UK Pop Singles chart, #2 on the US Billboard Hot Soul Songs chart and #25 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

A Tribute To The Pirate Stations (1964-1974) "Golden Years of Pop Music" On April 21, 2010, it will be 50 years since Radio Veronica began broadcasting from a ship just outside the territorial waters. It ushered in the era of the 'pirate station' phenomenon. Radio Caroline, Radio London, Radio Northsea International and many others followed Veronica's initiative. On this 7-CD + DVD box, all the great radio hits from the most important years of pop history (1964-1974) are listed by Adje Bouman. At the time, Ad was a technician at Radio Veronica and was not called 'the master' for nothing. Each CD has its own theme; the Adje Bouman Top Ten, the Lex Harding Show, the Rob Out Show, etc. Not only the big hits are featured, the typical 'radio records' are also present, all this is interspersed with jingles and so these shows seem to be alive again brought. Respected stage and screen actor and broadcaster Alex Menglet will join Mairi Nicolson on Afternoons on Friday, while renowned composer Elena Kats-Chernin will be in the chair with Tamara-Anna Cislowska on Easter Sunday from 4-7pm. On Monday, acclaimed pianist Sonya Lifschitz will join Alice Keath on Classic Drive.

David T. Walker's final solo LP "On Love" ably captures the gauzy, romantic atmosphere its title promises, but like most of Walker's output as a leader, atmosphere is pretty much all this record has to offer for all its shimmering beauty, the music lacks substance. The plush sophistication of the production is more a minus than a plus never one to the command the spotlight in the first place, Walker completely defers to the overall mood and texture throughout "On Love", and regardless of his technical brilliance, one can't but wish he would simply cut loose and break off a memorable, impassioned guitar solo or two. As usual, he also sticks to familiar pop melodies "Windows of the World" and "Lovin' You," most notably but does little to reinvent or revitalize them. This is music so smooth it slips between the cracks.
