Rare grooves from the pulpiest regions of Spanish cinema from late 60s to late 70s – soft core erotica, comedies and otherwise exploitation style films! Needless to say, the subject matter made plenty of room for Spanish styled blaxploitation & sound library influenced grooves, psychedelic funk & rock! Laid down with flute, fuzzy guitars, organs and more – groovy, seedy stuff!

The eventual schism that resulted in the formation of Luca Turilli's Rhapsody and the termination of his former solo projects and association with his mainstay brand Rhapsody Of Fire could be seen as inevitable, insofar that with the conclusion of the second stream of episodes of the original Emerald Sword saga that some changing of the guard was in the works, especially considering the monumental feat of putting out 14 albums in less than 20 years…

Le contrebassiste américain revisite ici exclusivement des musiques de films (Taxi Driver, Bullitt, Charade, Skyfall, Vertiges, La Panthère rose, L’Affaire Thomas Crown…) dont trois réalisés par son illustre père (Gran Torino, Impitoyable et La Sanction). Des thèmes intimement liés à des compositeurs de gros calibre (Lalo Schifrin, Ennio Morricone, Michel Legrand, Bernard Herrmann, Henry Mancini ou bien encore John Williams) et pour certains entrés dans l’inconscient collectif… Classe et classique, son approche raffinée est d’une grande justesse de ton.
