A concept album, it is a sequel to the band's 2000's fourth album Chronometree, and features the same character, Tom, now struggling to reach success in the 1980s with his progressive rock band The Elf King; however, it was conceived as a stand-alone story rather than a direct continuation.

Maison du Duke has issued a new CD – ”Mingus Chez Duke” – to the benefit of its members. It has 20 tracks from the appearance of the Duke Ellington orchestra at Bandbox in New York Jan. 30-Feb. 9, 1953. Mingus was hired and fired by Duke in 1953. I never suspected his collaboration with Duke was documented. La Maison du Duke is proud to present a collection of unpublished recordings of Duke Ellington, which come from an important stock of Ellington archives (Clavié collection), acquired by the association, which only a few collectors had access to today . The CDs are reserved for members of the Maison du Duke association and are not intended to be marketed.
