The album consists of 12 previously unreleased tracks recorded by Jimi Hendrix whilst starring in the 'Jimi Hendrix Experience'. This special album showcases the legendary guitarist working outside of the original Jimi Hendrix Experience trio. Beginning in 1968, Jimi Hendrix grew restless, eager to develop new material with old friends and new ensembles. Outside the view of a massive audience that had established the Experience as rock's largest grossing concert act and simultaneously placed two of his albums together in the US Top 10 sales chart, Jimi was busy working behind the scenes to craft his next musical statement.

This DVD features a tribute concert for the legendary Buddy Holly. Recorded in Austin in 1987, it features Brian Setzer, John Fogerty, Carl Perkins, The Crickets and others.
Buddy Holly is perhaps the most anomalous legend of '50s rock & roll he had his share of hits, and he achieved major rock & roll stardom, but his importance transcends any sales figures or even the particulars of any one song (or group of songs) that he wrote or recorded. Holly was unique, his legendary status and his impact on popular music all the more extraordinary for having been achieved in barely 18 months.

The Best of Suzi Quatro on Disky is a fairly solid collection of Suzi's early rockers. Leading off with the furious one-two punch of "Can the Can" and "48 Crash," the pace is fast and wild from beginning to end with a couple of ballads for breath near the end. Quatro doesn't get the credit she deserves for being a female hard rock pioneer; in the U.S. she is seen as Leather Tuscadero from Happy Days first and foremost, with her recording career an afterthought at best. That is a shame because Suzi could flat out rock. With the help of Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn's songwriting and production, she created a body of work that is almost equal to Joan Jett's.
