Born and raised in the old center of Amsterdam he started his first performances in the pub of his parents. After winning a song contest he released his very first single called "My Hitparade", a medley in 1984. With the release of "Winter In America" a year later he scored his first top 5 hit in Holland. His first number one hit (and triple platina) was sang in Dutch, called "Alles Kan Een Mens Gelukkig Maken". Switching back to the English language he released his second album and new single called "You're My Everything" remixed by Pete Waterman.

September 2017 with the TechnoBase.FM Vol. 17 the latest edition of the popular dance compilation series of the web radio techno TechnoBase.FM appears. On three CDs, 72 HandsUp tracks have been found. DJ could be won for each record, which packed the songs into a continuous mix. Ti-Mo, Timster and Nikit are responsible for the tracklist this time. We will consider in detail what titles have been achieved on the Songliste of TechnoBase.FM! HandsUp-Urgestein Ti-Mo is the beginning. He adds the first mix of DJs and starts his own production. Timster is the man of the second CD.-Resident Nikit is the third member of the band who was allowed to hand a CD. Hartman's followup to Instant Replay, and while nothing here raced up the charts like that album's title single, the producer/singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist flashes his party energy through sturdy constructions. "Hands Down" trails off with Stevie Wonder and Edgar Winter trading fours on harmonica and sax respectively an inspired collaboration that could have run on a few minutes more. "Just for Fun," almost a one-man show, contrasts a muscular, syncopated hook to the insouciance of the lyric. The finale, "Free Ride," retools a hit Hartman originally wrote and sung for Edgar Winter, transferring the choogle of the older version's rhythm guitar to the rhythm section for a seemingly-simple discofication displaying the hand of a master crafsman.

Edgar Holland Winter is an American musician multi-instrumentalist, performing on the keyboards, and as a vocalist, saxophonist and percussionist, well-versed in jazz, blues and rock. He was most successful in the 1970s with his band, The Edgar Winter Group. Here's the fourth and fifth albums digitally remastered and reissued on one CD by British Gottdiscs Limited.
