SUPERB EARLY WINTERLAND BROADCAST FROM 1967\nFormed in 1965 as The Warlocks, the Grateful Dead released their debut album in March ’67, following which, as 1967 mutated into the Summer of Love, the Dead emerged as one of the top draws on the Bay Area music scene. Honing an eclectic repertoire influenced by folk, country and blues while regularly appearing at top local venues including the Fillmore Auditorium, the Avalon Ballroom, and Winterland \- a venue that would become the group\x27s hometown venue of choice during the next decade.

After reading the Tibetan Book of The Dead and Remember Be Here Now, I wanted to make an album that would take you on a journey. In this album, we are introduced to a man just before the moment of his death and travel along with him on his journey through the intermediate state, otherwise known as: resurrection. We follow him through his afterlife transformation and he eventually ends up taking a new form by the end of the album. Very nifty stuff!! I hope you enjoy this new record, more music and content on the way in 2020. But until then, have a safe voyage through the intermediate state…

The Kinks One of the great bands of the rock & roll era, the Kinks pioneered hard rock with such wild early ravers as "You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night," singles that inspired such peers as the Who and David Bowie while also pointing the way forward for punk and metal. That turned out to be the first act in a career that ran into the 1990s, making them the only British Invasion band outside of the Rolling Stones to last that long. Where the Stones always occupied center stage, the Kinks operated on the margins, both by accident and design. Lead singer/songwriter Ray Davies fashioned himself as an observer of human behavior, developing a gift for character and commentary that flourished on such mid-'60s singles as "Dedicated Follower of Fashion" and "Sunny Afternoon."

Blood From The Streets Of New Haven is a Connecticut compilation released by a small label from the state called Caffeine Disk. Released in 1992, it features some powerful alternative/indie rock bands, some of which were known for other projects before this. There's even a nice rap song here by Blind Justice. A little known collection but one I like.

Heritage presents vintage recordings of twentieth century British music, taken from the collection of Philip Lane, featuring a number of works that are not currently available in the catalogue: Don Banks’s Elizabethan Miniatures, Iain Hamilton’s Scottish Dances and Malcolm Williamson’s Six English Lyrics. These are paired with more familiar works by Malcolm Arnold, William Walton, Hamilton Harty, Thomas Arne and Henry Purcell (in twentieth century arrangements).
