Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Decemberists' 2006 landmark release The Crane Wife, this triple album set includes the remastered original tracks plus alternate versions, B-sides, solo acoustic demos and outtakes. "While we’re not the sort of folk to make a ton of ballyhoo about every record’s birthday, it seemed fitting that this one should receive some sort of celebration. It was our first record for a major label, after all … it was our first record with a lineup that would remain constant for the next decade and our first record to actually get a teensy bit of commercial airplay. We take what we can get."

Perhaps other bands would be content to rest on the laurels of another successful record released, another romp about the globe put to bed — BUT NOT THE DECEMBERISTS. No, folks, we have one last thing we’d like to impart to you before we go into our deserved siesta: We are announcing the Traveling On EP!

This was Colin Meloy's college alternative-countryish band, which put out a full-length and an EP before they disbanded and Meloy segued into The Decemberists.
