Desideria, a married Spanish woman who has a quite boring and hidden sex-life, goes to Instanbul where she meets Yaman, a Turkish tourist guide, who makes her discover new physical experiences.

Desi Lee believes anything is possible if you have a plan. That's how she became student body president. Varsity soccer star. And it's how she'll get into Stanford. But she's never had a boyfriend. In fact, she's a disaster at romance, a clumsy, stammering humiliation magnet whose botched attempts at flirting have become legendary with her friends.

Behind many of the great rock’n’roll instrumental acts of the late 1950s and early 60s was a great producer. The Fireballs had Norman Petty, the Champs had Dave Burgess, the Ventures had Bob Reisdorff, Sandy Nelson had Richie Podolor, Johnny & the Hurricanes had Harry Balk and, perhaps most significantly, Duane Eddy had Lee Hazlewood, who not only produced but also wrote many of his signature recordings. It took the emergence of Hazlewood and Eddy to turn what might have seemed a passing fad for rock’n’roll instrumentals into an identifiable genre. Previously, records without vocals tended to be regarded as novelties, but after ‘Moovin’ N’ Groovin’’ entered the charts early in 1958, followed by the Top 10 success of ‘Rebel-’Rouser’, such discs became a stand-alone category and soon every record company sought their own twangy guitar act.

Lo spunto arriva dai K-drama, le serie TV coreane che suo padre guarda da una vita, dove la sventurata protagonista, tra mille peripezie, finisce sempre tra le braccia dell'amato. Facile, no? Basterà studiare la trama e seguire lo schema, e Desi è bravissima in questo. Peccato che l'amore, nella vita vera, non è proprio come quello dei K-drama.

A curious thing about the legacy of cult weirdo Lee Hazlewood is how it's been shaped by the mere availability or better still, the unavailability of his material: all of it was difficult to find for a long, long time but as it started to eke out on CD in the late '90s, it was the late '60s and early '70s recordings, even the early sides for MGM, that appeared, never the Reprise Recordings that perhaps accounted for his strongest impression in the public in the '60s. Rhino Handmade rectified this wrong in 2007 with the release Strung Out on Something New: The Reprise Recordings subsequently released in a less limited incarnation in the U.K. which rounds up all of his Reprise recordings apart from his duets with Nancy Sinatra: the acoustic 1965 LP The N.S.V.I.P.'s, 1966's Friday's Child, 1968's Love and Other Crimes, plus two non-LP singles and a host of Hazlewood productions for other Reprise acts, including Jack Nitzsche, Duane Eddy, Sanford Clark, and Dino, Desi & Billy.
