Divorce French Style

As well as their famous Frankenstein and Dracula series of films, Universal also shot a number of one-off horror titles during the height of their horror sucesses in the 1930s and 1940s, this set brings together five of those starring their unique and distinctive leading man, Bela Lugosi. In four of the films he is also joined by frequent screen sparring partner, Boris Karloff.
The films range from the original and exciting Invisible Ray (1936) to the missed opportunities of Horror/Gangster fusion in Black Friday (1940). The Edgar Allan Poe based stories range from decent Black Cat (1934) to the average Raven (1935) and the dull Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932).

A trio of crooks relentlessly pursue a young American (Audrey Hepburn) through Paris to recover the fortune her dead husband stole from them. The only person she can trust is a suave, mysterious stranger (Cary Grant). A deliciously dark comedic thriller, Stanley Donen’s Charade dazzles with style and macabre wit to spare.

Barry's high-style comedy suited Hepburn wonderfully, and this satire on the egotism and selfishness of the upper classes (the wealthy) in the States gave her a vehicle so finely tuned that it paved the way for her even greater success two years later with an option on his The Philadelphia Story. Here she plays the older sister in a family which boasts an alcoholic brother and a younger sister engaged to a struggling lawyer (Grant) who brings a welcome note of dissension into the household. Naturally, he ends up with the sparky Ms Hepburn. Cukor's elegant grasp of the original drama ensures a silkily smooth transition from stage to screen.

The only thing better than one John Waters movie for a solid evening of trashy entertainment is seven, and thanks to the folks at New Line Home Video, Waters fans can now enjoy a gleefully offensive, career-spanning collection of his most memorable films in this set that's sure to give the neuters nightmares! All seven films, including Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Desperate Living, Polyester, Hairspray, Pecker, and A Dirty Shame, are presented in their original aspect ratios in addition to featuring outrageously entertaining commentary by the director (other bonus materials vary from disc to disc), with a bonus disc offering a variety of audio and video clips detailing Waters' life from childhood to his current status as the Sultan of Sleaze!

André Polonski, pianiste virtuose, et Mika Muller, PDG des chocolats Muller, se sont mariés à Lausanne. Auparavant, André a épousé Lisbeth dont il a eu un fils, Guillaume. Le jour de ses six ans, alors qu'ils étaient de passage en Suisse chez Mika, Lisbeth s'est tuée dans un accident de voiture. La jeune Jeanne Pollet, qui prépare le concours de piano de Budapest, apprend qu'elle aurait été échangée le jour de sa naissance avec Guillaume. L'infirmière aurait interverti les bracelets des deux bébés. A la recherche de ses origines et d'un mentor, l'ambitieuse débutante tente de s'approcher du maître.
