Farewell Tour is the first live album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers. It documents the group's 1982 Farewell Tour and is a double LP set. The roots of the Doobie Brothers lie in Pud, a short-lived California country-rock band in the vein of Moby Grape featuring guitarist/vocalist Tom Johnston and drummer John Hartman.

The Doobie Brothers have unveiled their 15th studio album, Liberté, out Friday, October 1st. The band produced and co-wrote all 12 tracks of the album with John Shanks (Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus). Rather than release the songs sequentially as singles, the Doobie Brothers have released a special extended play, The Doobie Brothers EP, featuring four tracks from Liberté: “Oh Mexico,” “Cannonball,” “Don’t Ya Mess With Me,” and “Better Days”.

How the Doobie Brothers came to form a "family" is not only a fateful event but also a good story. While getting high on a marijuana joint (or doobie) that was passed from one to the other in a practice room, one of the group apparently uttered the following momentous words: "We are all Doobie brothers." Later, when in possession of all his faculties, the co-founder of the group, Tom Johnston, was thinking along the lines of a Motown sound, with a bass line resembling that of Seals and Crofts, and vocals in the style of Stevie Wonder.

The Captain and Me is the third studio album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers. It features some of their most popular hits including "Long Train Runnin'", "China Grove" and "Without You". The album is certified 2× Platinum by the RIAA. The album was originally released in Quadraphonic sound on the CD-4 Quadradisc system and also on Quadraphonic 8-track tape. The album was also released in 2002 remixed into 5.1 multichannel DVD-Audio, and on 14 September 2011, on hybrid stereo-multichannel Super Audio CD by Warner Japan in their Warner Premium Sound series.

One Step Closer is the ninth studio album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers, released in 1980. The album included the hit "Real Love", which reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100; this also marks the last studio album with Michael McDonald in the lineup.
