Genre: Progressive Rock | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Beamerhead Records

Mindspeak is a crossover prog band from Austria founded in 2009 when they were between the ages of 19 to 23. Ten years later, they have released their 2nd full length studio album called "Eclipse Chaser". The album contains two songs and one 6-part suite with the total run-time for the album at just over an hour. The music is mostly quite melodic with returns to the main themes often to help tie things together. There are a few places where the music gets surprisingly complex, however, these parts are kept short with a quick resolution. The compositional structure at times follows the basic standard structure, but there is enough progressiveness in here to keep us all happy.

When you think of the Italian Renaissance, chances are you think of what it gave us. The extraordinary sculptures of Michelangelo. The incomparable paintings of Leonardo da Vinci. The immortal written works of Petrarch and Machiavelli. But have you ever wondered why there was such an artistic, cultural and intellectual explosion in Italy at the start of the 14th century?

When the honeyed tones of The Jazz Age meld with hottest beat drops of the new millennium, you get High Step Society’s elixir of American Electro Swing. Grandma remembers when she listened to jazz giants on the old Victrola. Grandkids feel the bass beats deep in their chest cavity. Merging dance music from our past with sounds for the future, High Step Society features a shimmering horn section that soars over syncopated high hats and rat-a-tat snare. The kids in the band are electronic music producers as well as educated jazz musicians. Audaciously sophisticated, High Step Society is rethinking jazz with unorthodox arrangements, and bringing a touch of elegance to modern electronic music.

Few nations offer a literary legacy as impressive as that of Great Britain. For more than 1,500 years, the literature of this tiny island has taught, nurtured, thrilled, outraged, and humbled readers both inside and outside its borders. Chaucer, Shakespeare, Dickens, Austen, Swift, Conrad, Wilde—the roster of British writers who have made a lasting impact on literature is remarkable. More importantly, Britain's writers have long challenged readers with new ways of understanding an ever-changing world.
