Detroit. Few words draw up such emotion and imagery as that one word sentence. It’s really a novel on its own, and says more about music than most books ever could. Detroit’s rich musical history has produced some of the worlds elite. Paul Lamb grew up in these streets immersed in Detroit’s musical pulse; The Blues, the Funk, the Rock, and of course the Soul. Paul Lamb, and his band The Detroit Breakdown, are a perfectly unique by-product of this city’s pulse.

Blue Öyster Cult is an American rock band from Long Island, New York, whose most successful work includes the hard rock and heavy metal songs "(Don't Fear) The Reaper", "Godzilla" and "Burnin' for You". The band has sold over 24 million records worldwide, including 7 million records in the United States alone. Because of their unique sound and diversity, Blue Öyster Cult has been influential to many modern bands that span many genres, and are often viewed as important pioneers of several different styles of rock music that came to prominence in the 1980s and 1990s.

The influence of Duke Reid upon the development of the Jamaican music industry can never be overstated. During the 1950s, he dominated the island’s sound system scene, initially specialising with rare R&B imports from the US before turning to local talent to create ‘exclusives’ for his powerful sound.

Dirty Red & The Soul Shakers are a modern day powerhouse, rock n blues band. Built on old-school influences and mutual love for down and dirty blues. A dangerously tight Rhythm section centered around Forrest Worrell on drums (formerly with Watermelon Slim & The Workers), John Stendel on bass, resulting in a “shake your money maker” grooving backbone. Add in killer rock n blues guitar player, Ike Lamb (formerly of Watermelon Slim & The Workers) and then finally center stage, you have the always entertaining vocalist, Eric McDaniel (Dirty Red) for soul-filled vocals & harmonica, reminiscent of Omar & The Howlers. Now, you have one heck of blues party in the making. The Soul Shakers, perform original songs, and the classics, often influenced by the blues giants such as Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Junior Wells, Little Walter.
