With the use of the tools from this toolbox, today's engineering community has an opportunity to better understand not only the intricacies offluid-flow dynamics in increasingly complex reservoirs, but also the characteristics of fluid-flow dynamics in wellbores, flow patterns developing within the immediate vicinity of perforations, the interaction of vertical, slanted, horizontal, and multilateral wells and the reservoir, and the complexities of reservoir characterization. These areas represent only a small portion of a list that includes some challenging issues playing critical roles in the optimum development of hydrocarbon reservoirs, and in the optimized implementation of capital-intensive projects that can be investigated with numerical simulation.

Previous Jedi Mind Tricks’ projects could be described as a touch obtuse. Comic book villainy, cemeteries and decapitations aren’t the stuff of lazy Sunday afternoons. But the official debut of Army of the Pharaohs, spearheaded by JMT’s Vinnie Paz, comes off as morbidity with a smile. The underground all-star collaboration includes 7L & Esoteric, Celph Titled, Apathy, Outerspace, Reef The Lost Cauze, Chief Kamachi, Des Devious, Faez One and King Syze. Instead of fantastical yarns about high-tech weaponry, there are meaningful stories about disappointment and broken homes. But The Torture Papers is far from a sentimental journey through the ghetto. The whimsical futurism still abounds, but it is matched with thought-provoking experiences that make this more than a niche record.

Esoteric Recordings are pleased to issue the first ever OFFICIAL UK CD edition of the self titled album by FIELDS. When the first line-up of RARE BIRD folded in early 1971, keyboard player GRAHAM FIELD formed this outfit with bass player, vocalist and guitarist ALAN BARRY and KING CRIMSON drummer ANDY McCULLOCH. Although the band failed to emulate the commercial success of FIELD’s previous group, the sole album they recorded was a magnificent example of British Progressive Rock. Much sought after for many years, this official ESOTERIC CD edition has been re-mastered from the original master tapes and features an essay by Sid Smith and interview with Graham Field.

Psychonaut (1972). Formed in 1968 by Belgian born keyboard player Joel Vandroogenbroeck, the band released their debut album, the extreme psychedelic Cottonwoodhill in Germany in 1971. Breaking apart soon after, Vandroogenbroeck formed a new incarnation of the group with drummer Barney Palm comprising Swiss and Italian musicians. Psychonaut was recorded in Milan in 1972 and was less intense than Cottonwood Hill but was more cohesive and was an impressive Psychedelic rock album, later much sampled by European Trance DJs. Psychonaut is one of the essential albums associated with the German Psych & Prog scene of the early 1970's…
