At any time in our history, you will find significant and seemingly indisputable events occurring, the kind that can change the course of our lives — the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Yet for every one of them, somebody, somewhere will loudly dispute the 'official' account, doubting that the truth has been told.

Candi Staton's recording's for Fame Records are some of the most essential moments in Southern Soul's history. For the first time ever all 48 of the tracks she made for Rick Hall's label between 1969 and 1974 are together in one place. 22 have never been on CD before and 12 are previously unreleased.

There was no way that Rory Gallagher could have known that Fresh Evidence would be his last recording, but in retrospect, it is a good summary of all that is fine and some that is frustrating about his work. The first few tracks are competent but less than perfect; "'Kid' Gloves" is yet another weak song that is based on his well-known love of crime fiction, and "The King of Zydeco" shows that Gallagher may have liked zydeco music a lot, but he doesn't sound natural playing it. Things pick up on "Middle Name," which sounds a lot like the Doors' "The Wasp" but has some sharp soloing, and things really get rolling on "Ghost Blues." From this point on, it seems that Gallagher wanted to prove his mastery of every style of blues, and amazingly, he succeeds.

Many North German composers brought the great richness of this instrument to its highest splendor: besides Michael, his namesake Hieronymus Praetorius, Buxtehude, Tunder, Weckmann, Leyding, Druckenmüller, Hanff and Bruhns founded the North German Organ School between the 16th and 18th centuries. Dirk Trüten plays the organ of the Catholic Church in Dübendorf, Switzerland, built by Bernhardt Edskes in 2014.
