Born April 15, 1966, London, England. While she was taking her 0 level exams, well-endowed 16-year-old Samantha was discovered by SUN newspaper and promoted as a topless model. Her debut single in 1986, "Touch Me", was well received by critics, who praised her strong vocal performance. This thing hit number three on the charts. After this, she released "Do Ya, Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)" which also reached the UK TOP 10. Other songs that became hits in Britain were "Hold On Tight", "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now" and "I Surrender". To prove that former newspaper models can also be serious artists, Fox releases his singles on the US market. There she enjoyed even greater success with three hits in the TOP 10. In 1991, Samantha finished her first film, tentatively titled THE FINAL EMBRACE.

ON AN OVERGROWN PATH from pianist Jennifer Elowsky-Fox features music by composers Leoš Janáček and Larry Thomas Bell. Janáček gives the album its title piece, a programmatic work that evokes the composer’s memories from early 20th century Moravia. The piano cycle, performed with masterful sensitivity by Elowsky-Fox, blends the eastern and western cultural influences of the region. Based on hymn tunes included in Bell’s A Hymnbook for Congregational Singing, op. 169, Bell’s Piano Sonata No. 5, A Landscape of Small Ruins, op. 166, was composed in 2020 specifically for Elowsky-Fox. Her performances have been described in print as “buoyant”, “fun,” and “gorgeous in all respects,” all sentiments that resonate in this Navona Records release.
