Already in the 50ies and 60ies, Horst Lippmann with Lippmann+Rau Konzertagentur organized concert tours of black American Jazz, Blues, Folk and Gospel artists in Germany and neighboring countries, when black music was still widely ignored by the white population of the USA. This release was recorded on occasion of one of these engagements, LP 1 was recorded live, LP 2 contains studio recordings. Frankfurt was the main base of the American Forces in Europe, many American visitors add to the atmosphere of the concert. On organ Klaus Doldinger, some call him the most important German Jazz keyborder, and on bass Lothar Meid of Krautrock fame.
