If time is the true test, then Guns N' Roses' Greatest Hits confirms that they really were one of the greatest rock & roll bands in the world. While, in retrospect, fellow graduates of the class of 1987 are about as cool as poodle perms and spandex, the L.A. bad boys still rock like gods…

Guns N' Roses' debut, Appetite for Destruction was a turning point for hard rock in the late '80s – it was a dirty, dangerous, and mean record in a time when heavy metal meant nothing but a good time. On the surface, Guns N' Roses may appear to celebrate the same things as their peers – namely, sex, liquor, drugs, and rock & roll – but there is a nasty edge to their songs, since Axl Rose doesn't see much fun in the urban sprawl of L.A. and its parade of heavy metal thugs, cheap women, booze, and crime…

Guns N' Roses - "The Spaghetti Incident?" is the fifth studio album by Guns N' Roses. The album is unique for the band, consisting entirely of cover versions, mostly of glam/punk rock songs of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Many of the tracks were recorded with original Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin during the Use Your Illusion I and II sessions and then were later re-recorded by Gilby Clarke. Those tracks were previously intended to be included in a combined Use Your Illusion album, consisting of three (or possibly even four) discs, instead of the two separate discs they ended up being.

(1993), released exactly 15 years before Chinese Democracy, and their first album of original studio material since the simultaneous release of Use Your Illusion I and II in September 1991. It is the most expensive album ever produced, with production costs in excess of thirteen million dollars.

LEGENDARY 1987 UK BROADCAST FROM AN EARLY GUNS N ROSES On 28th June 1987, the recently formed Guns N Roses became the latest addition to a distinguished list of artists who cut their teeth internationally at London s famous Marquee Club. Early followers of the up-and-coming band paid a princely admission fee of £4 to enter the celebrated Wardour Street location and see G N R s first-ever gig outside the US. The show took place in the very week that Guns N Roses first flickered on the UK sales charts. But they were still very much below the radar. The published singles chart was a top 75, so their new release It s So Easy was largely hidden from view as it entered the 20 June listings at No. 84.

"Don't Cry" is a song by rock band Guns N' Roses, two versions of which were released simultaneously on different albums. The version with the original lyrics is the fourth track on Use Your Illusion I, while the version with the alternate lyrics is the 13th track on Use Your Illusion II. Only the vocal tracks differ, and even then only in the verses; however, in those verses, not only are the words entirely different, but the meter and melody are also slightly different. There is also a third version, officially released only on the single for the song, which was recorded during Appetite for Destruction sessions in 1986.
