"Hans Zimmer LIVE" gathers more than two hours of new music by the Frankfurt-born composer-star! For the album, Hans Zimmer has arranged new "suites" based on some of the best-known themes and melodies from his Oscar®-winning film scores, including "Dune" and "The Lion King," as well as for modern classic films such as "The Dark Knight," "X Men: Dark Phoenix," "Dunkirk," "Gladiator," "Inception," "Interstellar," "Last Samurai," "Man of Steel," James Bond: No Time to Die," "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Wonder Woman 1984."

This collection of soundtrack music by the German-born film composer Hans Zimmer includes his first film score, A World Apart, as well as his co-written, club-influenced soundtrack for the award-winning My Beautiful Laundrette. A subtle, expressive composer, Zimmer makes good use of brooding, layered themes in pieces like "The Fruit Machine," while his music for The Island combines folk-themed segments with dramatic orchestral flourishes.

Comprised of extended, immersive musical explorations of the “Dune” film score. Of significant note is that this album will be released in both Standard and Dolby Atmos Music configurations, and marks Zimmer’s first soundtrack released in Dolby Atmos Music – a listening technology he has wholeheartedly embraced for the music of “Dune.”

'Hans Zimmer LIVE' features more than two hours of new reimagined arrangements of some of the most popular compositions by the L.A.-based composer icon. Sony Classical is pleased to present the album as a 2-CD digipak, which contains a booklet with a personal note by Hans Zimmer and stories on how he met his fellow band musicians, illustrations, and photos.
