For better or for worse, Hans Zimmer's Crimson Tide remains one of the defining film scores of the 1990s – the first and most popular of the electronic action scores that dominated the genre throughout the latter half of the decade, its propulsive, bombastic approach perfectly captures the artifice and soullessness of a Hollywood era dominated by computer-generated effects and genetically engineered stars. Zimmer's frantic, testosterone-fueled melodies embrace function at the expense of form – there's nothing remotely noteworthy except their sheer relentlessness and visceral intensity. There's no doubting how perfectly this kind of music complements the modern action blockbuster – whether the previous statement constitutes a ringing endorsement or a scathing indictment depends entirely on the perspective of the reader.

THE WORLD OF HANS ZIMMER – PART II: A NEW DIMENSION is the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed 2019 album The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration. Melding the grandeur of symphonic music with the dynamic power of his cinematic compositions, Zimmer transforms 17 more of his most successful soundtracks into new epic orchestral suites on this double album. Highlights of the over 2 hours long record include a short, captivating “cello-concerto-like” version of Final Ascent from No Time to Die, a tranquil rendition of A Time of Quiet Between the Storms from Dune II, and a new romantic suite from The Prince of Egypt. Additionally, Zimmer revisits one of his classic 90s soundtracks with a newly crafted suite of The Rock.

On February 27, 2001, nearly a year after the first soundtrack's release, Universal/Decca released Gladiator: More Music From the Motion Picture. This CD contained an additional 18 cuts from the film (including remixes of earlier scores, such as "Now We Are Free"). Many tracks also use dialogue from the movie, such as Maximus Decimus Meridius' quote "Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife… and I will have my vengeance."

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is a collaborative effort by film composers Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL. Hans and Tom created an incredibly compelling and interesting and heart-pounding new musical world for Batman, while continuing to expand on the amazing world and themes Hans had previously created for Superman. Terminal Exposure is a 1987 action comedy starring Hope Marie Carlton, John Vernon, Joe Estevez, Mark Hennessy & Ted Lange. Written & directed by Nico Mastorakis. Two beach combing-shutterbugs accidentally capture a murder on film. Now detectives, the boys set out to capture a murderess shot only from behind, with a rose tattoo on her behind. Fun in the sun turns dangerous when they end up shooting bullets instead of film.Featuring music by Hans Zimmer & never before released on CD! Also included are cues by Mel Wesson & Roger Bolton. This is a rollicking synth score for fans of that '80's' sound that so many of us loved from that decade.

Intrada presents the premiere score-only release of Hans Zimmer's A League of their Own. The delightfully witty film deserved a similarly tongue-in-cheek score. Zimmer's music artistically represents not only the film's period, but the onscreen antics as the first-ever women's baseball team is formed, while retaining a sense of gravity and reverence for this historic and unfortunately short-lived episode in American baseball. The film gave Zimmer the opportunity to create a score that blends nostalgic Americana with his inimitable style, resulting in a mix of swing/jazz numbers that complement his rousing orchestral music. Although the film is party comedy, Zimmer narrows in on the heart of the story—the camaraderie of the players and the emotional depth of the story— while also capturing the WW II era.
