In 1965 the Spencer Davis Group, including drummer Pete York, were recording for Philips Germany, a session produced by Siggi Loch. York and Loch have remained friends ever since, so perhaps it is no surprise to see the drummer, now aged 70, release an album on Loch's ACT label.

The 4-CD box set - available exclusively as a "thank you" gift to Public Television donors - has been curated by David Lawrence and is thematically arranged by disc. It features highlights from Steve and Eydie's vibrant discography from their early days at ABC-Paramount and United Artists through their halcyon period at Columbia Records, subsequent classics for Calendar, RCA, and MGM, and favorites from their own Stage 2 and GL Music labels.

Beegie Adair grew up in Cave City, Kentucky, where she began taking piano lessons at age five. She continued to study piano throughout college, earning a B.S. in Music Education at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
