Irish Whistle

A very improbable musical connection happens….on the one side blues harmonica electric guitar and vocals from a whisper to striking rock singer ("Zappa" Johann Cermak - Frontman of "Bluespumpm")..on the other side, violin, banjo, guitar ("Judith Pechoc") chelo, tin whistle ("Nadja Milfait") and their voices "The Wild Irish Lasses".The result is powerful and quite different from what one would assume.

In this Dreamer series of albums, the way I have chosen to create a relaxing atmosphere is to make sound journeys for the mind. On Flute Dreamer I have created a piece of music suggesting a dream of flight. I have divided it into sections for ease of navigation on the CD, but also to suggest different stages of the flight, or each section could be thought of as a different dream, and a different flight.

This is a straightforward guide to playing the Irish whistle, in the key of D. Using an easy-to-follow fingering chart, it has been especially designed for beginners. Included is a selection of well-known airs, tunes, and dance music. International fingering chart included-plus a Feadog Whistle.

“Riddles” is the second improvisational album by our trio consisting of Anton Kotikov, Alexey Nadzharov and Petr Ivshin. We decided to create a new state, different from the previous album, giving it more mysticism and mystery created by the use of new musical instruments that we did not apply in our recordings before: Japanese shakuhachi flute, Australian didgeridoo, Indian bansuri flute, Irish whistle flute, Russian clay whistle, Armenian duduk, African calabash.

Co-produced by Jair Willis and the group's cousin, Chris Wright, SPEAK My MIND showcases the vocals of Jair ("Is There More," "How Much Of Me Is You," "Level," "Give"), Jenny ("Pull You Down," "Speak My Mind,"), Jackson ("The Line," "Set Me Free"), Jasmine ("What Life's About, "Paper Dolls") and Jeanette ("I Choose Life"). Jenny is also the featured vocalist on the one song not written by the siblings: a gentle, wistful re-imagining of the Johnny Cash classic "Ring of Fire." Many of the Willises also share their chops on a variety of instruments. Jair plays most of the guitars, guitar-related instruments and the Uillean pipes.

Loreena McKennitt's 'Under A Winter's Moon' was recorded live during a series of seasonal concerts in a historic church sanctuary around the time of the solstice in December 2021. The two-disc package features approximately an hour's worth of music and half an hour of spoken word which intertwine to create a unique and evocative seasonal listening experience. 'Under A Winter's Moon' is a captivating live performance rich with a miscellany of carols and tales that incorporate McKennitt's eclectic Celtic sound with elements of indigenous oral traditions found in many cultures.
