Hannah Gill is a jazz vocalist, songwriter, and performer based in Bushwick, Brooklyn in New York City. Currently signed with Turtle Bay Records, her debut jazz album “Everybody Loves A Lover” came out in September 2023.

Record Store Day 2025. Pharoah Sanders' Izipho Zam (My Gifts) is a groundbreaking jazz masterpiece. Recorded in 1969, two years after John Coltrane's passing, and released in 1973 on Strata-East, the album features a 13-member ensemble, including Sonny Sharrock, Lonnie Liston Smith, Cecil McBee, and Leon Thomas. Blending Eastern influences with expansive jazz, Sanders’ genius is highlighted with "Prince of Peace," showcasing Thomas' unique vocals, and the 28-minute title track, offering an exploration of dissonance and harmony with West African percussion and meditative chants. For the first time ever, this seminal work from a legendary saxophonist will be available on CD and digital platforms, as well as on 180-gram vinyl. Pressed at Record Technology Inc. (RTI) and mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio with audio transferred directly from the original analog tapes, the vinyl edition comes in high-quality, glossy tip-on gatefold jackets. It also includes new liner notes by Harmony Holiday and never-before-seen photos, making this release a must-have for jazz enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Like my favorite Jazz albums, the “Grunge” albums of the early 1990’s spoke to me because they offered what I perceived to be a genuine artistic vision.

Trumpeter Colin Steele has been a doyen of the Scottish jazz scene for almost thirty years, and his joined his first jazz group the John Rae Collective almost a decade earlier. A patient man, it was not until 2002 he released his debut album Twilight Dreams and subsequently released a number of highly acclaimed albums in the interim.

For "Grace" Rachel selects songs by U2, Nirvana, Kate Bush, Björk and John Lennon and mixes them with her own compositions. Thus, the ten tracks of the album combine with simple arrangements and universal themes around love, pain and growth. The simplicity of a trio consisting of Rachel's piano, the characteristic drum/percussion set of her longtime collaborator Bobbie Rae and Chris J. Luard on bass, recorded with Chesky's well-known minimalist microphone technique, creates an extremely intimate atmosphere for such expressive material.

Since the birth of the record in the early 20th century, producers of records have had one dream: to record live performances of musicians in front of a live audience, rather than recording in a controlled studio. This dream was able to reach its full realization in the late 1940s with the advent of the reel tape recording medium and the LP that could play those recordings.

Argentinian-born and New York-based vocalist Anita Donndorff presents a richly layered album that bridges jazz tradition with Latin American influence. With a background in classical and contemporary music, Donndorff developed her voice in Buenos Aires' music scene before relocating to New York, where she has continued to evolve as a compelling presence in both lounge and jazz club settings.

New York Times music reviewer Stephen Holden described Aimée as a blend of Michael Jackson and Sarah Vaughan and wrote that the "saucy, curly-haired jazz singer [stood] with one foot in tradition and the other in electronics," and that her voice had a "tart, girlish chirp" and that her Surreal Band fused traditional and futuristic electronics with textures mixing jazz and funk. New York Times reviewer Nate Chinen wrote that she had a "sweet, girlish voice that she controls with a sniper's precision"
