Electro is our electronic rhythm orchestrator featuring some of the world's greatest drum machines, all packaged in an innovative beatmaker with sound design controls.

The sound-design heart of Electro-Acoustic, this screen has everything you need to build incredible sounding kits. Scroll through different drum machines for each kit piece, shape it using the 11 studio channels, then get really creative with pitch and envelope controls. For advanced drum-geeks, you can edit these for each channel independently if you desire.

We wanted to combine classic drum machines ( 15, to be exact ) with the the organic ambience and warmth of studio recorded drums. So, we took a club PA to two different studios, turned it up really loud, and recorded the results: through high-end mics, vintage consoles, valve pre-amps, bass-amps and even acoustic drum shells.

In order to achieve the warm and wobbling sound of vintage tape sounds, we have equipped Magnetic with lots of nice tools. Besides the charismatic Wow & Flutter there is chorus, bit crushing, a tape saturation and a versatile vibrato.

STIGMATA's working principle is based on two types of synthesis, resampling and wavetables. To create the samples used in STIGMATA we spent a considerable amount of time researching timbres using instruments with rich sounds. Rather than investing in an insane amount of equipment that we would probably only need once or twice, it seemed obvious to us to call on friends who have the equipment we don't. This is how we were able to record hours of various sounds from complex modular synthesizers, historical machines, but also acoustic and electroacoustic instruments.
