Emma Myldenberger have a unique sound, essentially acoustic, mixing various elements from authentic pagan folk to medieval and psych-progressive rock. Their first album was released in 1978. Musical themes are closed to ancient music, ritualistic in nature. The instrumentation essentially refers to a nice orchestration made of guitars, oboe, ocarina, mandolin, crumhorn, hand percussions, with addition of a fragile female voice and an almost eastern-like exoticism. Their second album called "Tour de trance" is considered to be one of the most achieved psych-folk listenings. A very ambitious effort made of high quality kraut-folk improvisations. After two releases the band formed the Radio Noisz Ensemble (Third Ear Band, Between similar musical experiences). Garden of Delight reissues contain some precious informations about the band short history. An important document.

SLIFT kicks off with 5 nervous garage psych-rock tracks loaded up with fuzz mayhem and maniac beats sharp enough to knock your head off spinning with their hypnotic riffs. The power trio lined up on the front of the stage delivers a mighty wall of sound that sets ground on space rock grooves to get to those garage kraut drives carved with alienated psychobilly inspired vocals reminiscing of King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizzard and Thee Oh Sees.

Circle are the very definition of genre-defying, a rare feat for any band, but effortlessly achieved by this prolific Finnish collective. Circle's latest album Terminal is pure hedonistic pleasure. Never content on staying the same, they have created an idiosyncratic cocktail of sonic fusions, conjuring an impulsive, dizzying energy that stirs a spirit of curiosity within the listener, and has the ability to possess all who encounter them. Whilst many would run out of creative steam (certainly after 30+ albums), Circle continue to boldly explore sonic soundscapes, venturing curiously into terrains of Stooges-esque swagger, trance-inducing kraut rock mantras, beautiful electronic ambience, psychedelic rock noodling, arena storming AOR weirdness, 70s prog rock extravagance, glam pop pomp, and of course their core sound, heavy metal, not to mention other peculiar and daring sounds that simply cannot be pigeon-holed.

2005's For a Fistful of Dollars is the third album from German melodic rock band Soul Doctor, which features Fair Warning vocalist Tommy Heart. It is the band deciding exactly what they want to achieve here that helps build this album's consistency and from that, the overall enjoyment for the listener is enhanced.
