Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions, who kept us going during the lockdown with their Sunday Service concert series, are coming out with a Christmas album. It's A Soulful Christmas – out on December 4 – not only offers consolation, but especially cosiness for Christmas. That happens with soul, gospel and pop in various shades. In doing so, a bridge is built between the Christian Christmas with the birth of Jesus and the American interpretation of it with Santa Claus and presents under the tree. Everything contributes to an ultimate Christmas experience. Or as Michelle puts it: “It's a record that takes you through the Christmas season and beyond with a lot of soul.”

At his peak, Eric Clapton was nicknamed "God" by his fans, an indication of how highly regarded the guitarist was during his glory days. This phrase, immortalized in graffiti that spread across London in 1967, originated a few years earlier when Clapton was playing with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers just after leaving the Yardbirds in 1965. Clapton never was comfortable with the nickname - he embraced "Slowhand," titling his 1977 album after it - but "Clapton Is God" is a pivotal part of his story and an instrumental moment in the rise of the guitar hero, a rock & roll cliché that didn't exist prior to EC…

The first compilation of solo recordings by Peter Cox - singer, co - writer, and frontman of pop duo Go West. ‘The Deep Dive – Anthology 1997 - 2024’ features 17 tracks personally selected by Peter from across his solo career including the UK Top 40 singles ‘Ain’t Gonna Cry Again’, ‘If You Walk Away’, and ‘What A Fool Believes’. Also featured are a variety of rarities and deep cuts, such as ‘You Do Something To Me’ and ‘When Will You Be Mine?’ from The Lockdown Sessions which appear on CD for the very first time. Completing the collection are two new tracks recorded for this release - ‘To Be A Man’ and ‘Love Will Lift Us Up’. An accompanying 16 page booklet features new and exclusive track - by - track liner notes. Peter will be touring the U.K. with Go West throughout summer 2024 ahead of a string of solo dates in support of ‘The Deep Dive’ beginning on the 6th of September.
