Losin it

On August 28, 1999, power pop masters Cheap Trick played a special show for fans at Davis Park in their hometown of Rockford, IL, to salute their 25th anniversary as a band together. The show included several musical celebrities making cameo appearances (as well as relatives of Cheap Trick bandmembers) and the inclusion of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra String Quartet on several tracks, while the 29-song set list dipped deep into the band's catalog – including at least one song from every album of their career thus far. The evening's proceedings have been captured on the 2001 double-disc Silver, the band's second live release in two years.

Unblackened is a live acoustic album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society. It was recorded live on March 6, 2013, at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, and released on September 24, 2013

2017 two CD set containing a rare set of historic performances by the Climax Blues Band. Heard for the first time on CD, these expertly remastered tracks from 1970 to 1978, capture the unique Climax sound with it's blend of vocal harmonies, sax and guitar, created by the late Peter Haycock (guitar) and Colin Cooper (vocals and saxophone). Disc 1 has 15 tracks with 'Spoonful', 'Goin' To New York' and 'Milwaukee Truckin Blues' among the highlights. Disc 2 has a further 14 items including international hit single 'Couldn't Get It Right'. Extensive liner notes by Chris Welch, aided by founder member bass guitarist Derek Holt, tell the fascinating story of the group and background to these long-lost recordings. Rhythm & Blues / Soul / Funk / Southern Soul

Based in Shreveport, LA, the Murco label didn't record soul music exclusively, but it did concentrate heavily on Southern soul in the late '60s and early '70s. There were no national hits, with the marginal exception of Eddy Giles' "Losin' Boy" (the first track on this CD), which registered briefly in the Cashbox Hot 100. In fact, none of the singers on this 26-track compilation of Murco sides (some of which came out on various subsidiaries, and a couple of which were previously unreleased) will be familiar even to most soul collectors.
