Mark Allen

No Shame is the upcoming fourth studio album by English singer and songwriter Lily Allen, set to be released on 8 June 2018. Following the release of Sheezus (2014), Allen suffered from an identity crisis and did not connect with the music she had been creating. This was followed by a breakdown in Allen's marriage. Following Allen's divorce, she began working on new music which saw her writing about things that she had been affected by including the relationship with herself, her children, her ex-husband and substance abuse. Recording for the album took place from 2015 through until 2018 and featured contributions from producers such as Fryars and Mark Ronson, as well as guest appearances from artists including Giggs, Burna Boy and Lady Chann.

Allen Hinds was raised in Alabama and now resides in California. His eclectic blends of blues/jazz/rock all mesh into a very distinct style of his own. Like a cross between Robben Ford, Alan Holdsworth and Jeff Beck, his music is intelligent, phrasing sophisticated and tone for days. Jimmy Haslip says "It SMOKES", Will Kennedy says "his songs are not based around notey licks, he's all about strong melodies, great phrasing"

Like most British pop, Lily Allen's debut album, Alright, Still, overflows with impeccably shiny, creative productions. However, Allen attempts to set herself apart from the likes of Rachel Stevens, Natasha Bedingfield, and Girls Aloud with a cheeky, (mostly) amusing vindictive streak in her lyrics that belies the sugarcoated sounds around them. You know exactly what she means when she says her ex is "not big whatsoever" on "Not Big"; later, she revels in being the one that got away on "Shame for You." However, this nice-then-naughty approach is at its best on Alright, Still's singles, which open the album in a one-two-three punch.
