Italian heavy rockers LACUNA COIL will release their new album, "Delirium", on May 27 via Century Media. The CD was recorded at BRX Studio in Milan between December 2015 and February 2016. The effort was produced by LACUNA COIL bassist and main songwriter Marco "Maki" Coti-Zelati, with engineering by Marco Barusso and additional assistance from Dario Valentini. Coti-Zelati also created the artwork for "Delirium", which is based on an atmospheric session captured by Italian photographer Alessandro Olgiati.

Skogen is an Atmospheric Black Metal band from Växjö, Sweden, formed in 2009. In the veins of Drudkh. Current label - Frostscald Records. Formed in 2009.Upon first coming across Sweden’s Skogen, I was half expecting a bland and boring dedication to the old school Scandinavian scene due to the fact that this twosome of J. Svensson and M. Nilsson operate under such a horribly generic name.However, this atmospheric black metal band are definitely not just another by-the-book dedication to a scene long put to bed. I, like a lot of people, need to be inspired and turned on by the aesthetics of a band in order to listen to them.Skogen’s name is generic, lets be fair, so that aspect of the band was never going to excite.

The promo for Terrestrials describes itself as being, "even more exceptional than Contentum and therefore certainly very interesting and definitely not to forget challenging", which is one of the most diabolical pieces of self-promotion I’ve heard, not to mention the artwork, which looks like something out of a Hieronymus Bosch painting. Atrox are a band that don’t so much challenge convention, they just seem to have no idea of what it is, and this is never more apparent than after pressing the play button. Still, what is convention’s loss is our gain, but that doesn’t mean that everyone will love this album. Far from it, Terrestrials is not for the meek. Atrox play the strangest and most outlandish form of metal I’ve heard.
