Hungry Sally & Other Killer Lullabies is the second studio album by Tito & Tarantula, released in 1999. It is less known than their previous album, Tarantism, but is probably their best known work apart from that. This album was their first to feature drummer Johnny "Vatos" Hernandez, who had been hired as a percussionist shortly after the release of Tarantism, replacing Nick Vincent. Hernandez, who previously had played in the new wave band Oingo Boingo, provided a more solid, powerful drumming sound for the band, as opposed to Vincent's highly blues-influenced style. The album also featured the departure of multi-instrumentalist Lyn Bertles, who the band chose not to replace, reducing it to a four-piece. Instead, all the violin and mandolin parts were recorded by session musician Petra Haden. The band later elected to hire Andi Figueroa for the position when they went on tour, who played on their next album, Little Bitch, as a session musician.

Tim Burgess – as self-effacing a band leader, solo star, label runner, repeat memoirist and all-round caffeinated can-do kid as you’ll find – would certainly shrink from the latter accolade. “A hero??” he’d likely mutter with a shake of his boyish mop. “For playing some records?”

Billy Idol is the eponymous debut studio album by English rock vocalist Billy Idol, released on 16 July 1982 by Chrysalis Records. After the breakup of the band Generation X and the release of his first solo extended play, Don't Stop (1981), Idol began working on his debut album. Produced by Keith Forsey, Billy Idol is a rock album with strong influences of new wave music. Upon its release, the album received generally positive reviews from music critics and was a commercial success, peaking at number forty-five on the Billboard 200. Billy Idol was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Mixing the power of the grunge era with the vigor of punk, the Virginmarys create driving hard rock reminiscent of the Foo Fighters. Formed in Macclesfield, England in 2006 by singer and guitarist Ally Dickaty, bassist Chris Birdsall, and drummer Danny Dolan, the band set out to create intelligent hard rock that could be visceral and fun without being meatheaded. The lineup would be short-lived, with bassist Matt Rose taking over for Birdsall in 2009, but the years that followed would see the band release a string of EPs, including 2010's Cast the First Stone, 2011's Just a Ride and Portrait of Red, and 2012's Dead Man's Shoes. Their first proper full-length, King of Conflict, arrived in 2013 on Wind Up Records to a significant amount of critical acclaim. In 2015 the band issued a new single, "Dust," in anticipation of their sophomore studio long-player, Divides, which dropped in early 2016. While on tour in the U.K. in 2017, they released the single "Sweet Loretta (You Know Me Better)."

Grungy pop-punk anthem and lead single ‘Sex’ channels the likes of Stiff Little Fingers and The Undertones, mixing with the bands amalgamated influences from 60's girl groups to the explosive rock n’ roll of The Runaways. The LP provides Ghost Car with a platform to rage against political injustices, as their unified battle cries attack patriarchal inequality, homophobia, racism and toxic relationships.

What, I wonder, do we dream of when we dream of Bob Dylan? And, more intriguingly, what does Bob Dylan dream of when he dreams of us? This is what I think: he dreams of a small boy called Robert who lives in a small city, an industrial centre in a rural landscape. It’s a nowhere town that was once called Alice but had its name changed when an enormous hole was dug where its new name used to be. That giant hole was – and still is – the biggest of its kind in the world, an open-cast iron mine.

LSD is the upcoming sixth and final studio album by the English rock band Cardiacs, set for release on 19 September 2025. Recording began following lineup changes, with the single "Ditzy Scene" released by Org Records in 2007 to tease the upcoming double album. It was due to be released in October 2008, promoted by singles in August and November, an autumn tour, a radio session with Marc Riley and a reissue of the concert film All That Glitters Is a Mares Nest (1992). Production was indefinitely postponed after frontman Tim Smith had a cardiac arrest and stroke on 25 June 2008 leaving him unable to play or provide vocals. Fundraiser gigs, namely charity concerts entitled "The Alphabet Business Convention", were arranged and tribute albums were recorded to aid Smith in rehabilitation, and to help him to complete work on the album and other musical projects. He died on 21 July 2020 of what was deemed to be another heart attack. The band released "Vermin Mangle", which was intended to be the final track of LSD, on 1 September 2020 to mark his funeral. Originating from Smith's solo performances in 2000 and 2006, it was the first release of new Cardiacs material since "Ditzy Scene", and featured Smith on vocals. Because of its history, the album became the subject of speculation and many apocryphal stories. In 2024, Tim Smith's brother Jim revealed that work on LSD had continued during Tim's illness and after his death, reaching the mixing phase of recording.
