Executive producer Gordon Anderson took a simple approach to constructing this two-disc compilation, which mail-order company Collectors' Choice Music licensed from Capitol Records. Referring to chart researcher Joel Whitburn's reference books, especially Pop Memories 1890-1954, Anderson simply chose all 45 songs that were pop hits for Margaret Whiting along with three of the ones she scored earlier as the vocalist for big bands on Capitol between 1943 and 1956, her tenure with the label, and sequenced them chronologically by recording date.

On March 22, MEGADETH will celebrate its 35th anniversary with the release of "Warheads On Foreheads", a 35-track career retrospective. The anthology spans the band's entire studio recording career, from its first album "Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good" to its 2016 Grammy Award-winning release "Dystopia", and will be available as a 3-CD set, a 4-LP set and a digital edition via UMe Recordings. "Thirty-five years ago, I chose the name MEGADETH for my band and I see these songs as the most efficient weapons in the band's arsenal," says Dave Mustaine. "'Warheads On Foreheads' is a U.S. military term for targeting efficiency. It's all about using the right tool for the job and these tracks were created for maximum destruction (or stopping power, or something else!)."

COMPILATION OF ACOUSTIC COUNTING CROWS BROADCAST RECORDINGS Formed in 1991 in San Francisco s Bay Area by singer Adam Duritz and guitarist David Bryson, Counting Crows took their name from the English nursery rhyme about Magpies, One For Sorrow . Augmented by Charlie Gillingham (keyboards, piano, accordion), Dan Vickrey (lead guitar), David Immerglück (lead guitar, pedal steel, mandolin, bass guitar), Jim Bogios (drums, percussion) and Millard Powers (bass guitar, piano, guitar), the band recorded their mega-successful debut, August and Everything in 1993, a record which featured the hit single, Mr Jones . Throughout their heyday the Crows would regularly play acoustically, and this compilation features fifteen such performances, in all cases recorded for radio or TV broadcast between 1992 and 1997. Including unplugged versions of CC favourites plus a host of rarities and obscurities, some long sought after, this release is sure to prove a sonic delight for Counting Crows fans worldwide.
