NOW Music is proud to present the newest addition to the ‘Yearbook’ series: NOW – Yearbook 1981. 4 CDs of 85 tracks that defined the charts in 1981.

NOW is proud to present the next instalment in our ongoing ‘Yearbook’ series – and take a trip back 50 years in Pop history – with 82 tracks on 4 CDs, to celebrate a stellar year of Pop singles… NOW – Yearbook 1974.

Each release in our ‘Yearbook’ series includes a vinyl edition, featuring a selection of tracks taken from the full line-up found on the CD version. Inevitably, this has meant that a huge number of fabulous tracks have not been included on the LP versions… plus we have also released an accompanying CD ‘Extra’ for each of the years.

NOW Music are delighted to present NOW – Yearbook Extra 1983 featuring 60 additional tracks from the stellar pop goldmine that was 1983. Released as a limited edition 3-disc set, we hope the collectors will find it a great compliment to their collection – and the more casual pop lovers will enjoy re-visiting some of the lesser-compiled hits from the year. Huge hits from legendary artists including Wham!, Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson, Elton John, The Police, and Eurythmics are followed by pop gems from Paul Young, Spandau Ballet, Culture Club, Tears For Fears and The Kinks. Blockbuster albums produced multiple hit singles, and ‘Extra’ allows us to include ‘Tell Her About It’ from Billy Joel, ‘Please Don’t Make Me Cry’ from UB40, and ‘Rosanna’ from Toto. Disc 2 includes some of the alternative artists who were becoming chart regulars - The Cure, Echo And The Bunnymen, and U2, and synth-pop stars including Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Japan, Soft Cell, and Heaven 17, plus New Order’s genre defying ‘Confusion’… before concluding with electro-dance from Shalamar, and ‘Maniac’ from the years’ huge soundtrack ‘Flashdance’. It’s all about pure pop to begin disc 3, with Agnetha Fältskog’s first solo single since ABBA, alongside Kim Wilde, Thompson Twins, Shakin' Stevens, Jo Boxers, Tracie, and Donna Summer’s collaboration with Musical Youth.

Since we have presented five editions of the NOW – Yearbook series that span the first half of the 1980s. NOW Music is proud to present the newest edition to our ‘Yearbook’ family: NOW – Yearbook 1979. With a re-imagined look that reflects the era, 85 tracks over CDs celebrate a truly spectacular year of chart magic.

Now That’s What I Call Music spotlights 1993 for the next release in their ongoing Yearbook series. This year was actually brilliant, with classics from ’80s’ pop bands who were making it work in the 1990s. The Now That’s What I Call Music team are effectively issuing a companion 3CD set to Now Yearbook 1980-1984: The Final Chapter, itself a companion to the ten previous Yearbook releases covering those five years.The ‘Extra’ version of Yearbook 1980-1984 is, as usual, a 3CD set in a card sleeve and this one features 63 “essential hits” from the period.

Each release in our Yearbook series contains a vinyl edition with a selection of tracks from the complete line-up of the CD version. Inevitably, this means that a large number of fabulous tracks are not included on the LP versions… and we also released a companion CD Extra for each year. At the end of 2022 we released NOW Yearbook 1980 - 1984: Vinyl Extra a 5LP boxset containing one album per year for the period 1980-1984, each with an incredible selection of tracks taken from either Yearbook or the Extra and not previously included on a vinyl edition.
