Michael Omartian's music is extremely hard to come by. Why remains a mystery. Although his output is by no means prolific, he, together with wife Stormie, was responsible for much of the best CCM of the '70's and '80's. "White Horse" is for me in the Top Ten all time Christian albums while "Seasons of the Soul" holds a special place in my heart. This Album from 1991 consists of songs written, mostly in collaboration with Michael Anderson ( another somewhat underrated artist).

Produced by the hit production team of Steve Barri and Michael Omartian (Rhythm Heritage's #1 pop hit "Theme from S.W.A.T,"), Dionne Warwick's 1977 Warner Bros. LP "Love at First Sight" came closest in pop ethics to her earlier sides on Scepter. Serving as a reminder of those days is the wispy ballad "Do I Have to Cry" and the perky "Early Morning Strangers," which were co-written by Hal David, who co-wrote Warwick's '60s and early-'70s hit classics with Burt Bacharach. The upbeat first single, "Do You Believe in Love at First Sight," was one of the catchier tracks off the singer's '70s records. However, the cornerstone of the LP was the atmospheric "Don't Ever Take Your Love Away," co-written by Issac Hayes. The Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil charmer "Long Way to Go" is closest in theme to Warwick's favorite song, "Windows of the World."

Elliot Lurie (born August 19, 1948) is an American musician who was the lead guitarist, songwriter, and co-lead vocalist for the band Looking Glass from 1969 to 1974. He wrote and sang lead on their 1972 #1 hit single "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" and their 1973 Top 40 single "Jimmy Loves Mary-Anne". He later signed with Arista Records, and also worked writing songs for Chappell Music and Screen Gems Music. In the 1980s, Lurie wrote and produced music for private business use. He moved to Los Angeles in 1984, and in 1985, became head of the music department at 20th Century Fox. That year, he produced the soundtrack album for the John Travolta and Jamie Lee Curtis film Perfect.
