Biochemical Oscillations and Cellular Rhythms: The Molecular Bases of Periodic and Chaotic Behaviour by Albert Goldbeter
Publisher: Cambridge University Press (April 13, 1997) | ISBN: 0521599466 | Pages: 632 | PDF | 25.39 MB

This book addresses the molecular bases of some of the most important biochemical rhythms known at the cellular level. The approach rests on the analysis of theoretical models closely related to experimental observations. Among the main rhythms considered are glycolytic oscillations observed in yeast and muscle, oscillations of cyclic AMP in Dictyostelium amoebae, intracellular calcium oscillation observed in a variety of cell types, the mitotic oscillator that drives the cell division cycle in eukaryotes, pulsatile hormone signaling, and circadian rhythms in Drosophila.

Timeshard’s Crystal Oscillations is a real electronic journey, from the psy-trance techno of the first tracks to the spaced out ambience of the last, a must for all lovers of the genre.
Timeshard, a Liverpool based 3 piece, formed in 1988 at the start of the 'acid-house revolution' but their influences were really much more firmly rooted in the electronic music and space rock traditions of the 1970's. Fronting a wide array of ancient but totally irreplaceable analogue synths, Gobber, Simon and Steve set out to produce a unique live experience, honed at countless free festivals across the UK…
