Teenage Bottlerocket is the Old School Pop Punk from Laramie, Wyoming, formed in 2001. Alternative Press featured them as a "Band You Need To Know". Their music is heavily influenced by Kody Templeman's previous band, The Lillingtons, and earlier pop punk acts such as The Ramones, Screeching Weasel, etc. This collection is full of straight forward punk rock gems, laced with the unforgettable melodies that have become the calling card of Teenage Bottlerocket. In short - this is a freakin' fantastic stuff, recommended!

"Damned, Damned, Damned" still thrills. Its freshness, energy and capacity to musically assault have never dimmed. As British Punk’s first album it remains timeless. Originally released in February 1977 and reaching number 36 in the U.K. chart, the album explodes with an energy, power and cutting edge that none of its rivals came remotely close to matching. As such, it is considered by many fans to be their greatest release in their extensive catalogue. Along with the original album, this Deluxe Expanded Edition captures everything else that the band recorded under professional circumstances during Punk’s year zero. Early demos, all the B-sides, both John Peel Sessions, their scorching BBC In Concert and the rare ‘Stretcher Case Baby’ / ‘Sick Of Being Sick’ 7’ single recording. And if that isn’t enough, this release also features a previously unreleased bootleg of the band’s very first gig recorded from the 100 Club on July 6th 1976. This is the year one of The Damned and is evidence that this was one of the most extraordinary 12 months for any band, of any era.

Seven presidents were involved with decisions that impacted America’s presence in Vietnam: Truman, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford. Harry Truman initially supported France’s dispute with communist leader Ho Chi Min in the early 1950’s. During the Eisenhower and Kennedy terms America’s presence increased, politically, economically and militarily.The OSS, now the CIA, was also deeply involved with covert intelligence operations as early as 1944, not only in Vietnam but in neighbouring countries.
Today it is once again Remembrance Day, November 11th, 11:00am. For two short minutes we will be asked to put down our tools and pay a silent homage to those who fought for our freedoms. Most of us do not remember the sacrifices our fathers and their father made and how brave they must have been. I know my father joined at the age of 17 and spent 2 years as a tail gunner on a RAF Lancaster. I also know that all but one of my uncles served in various services and that 2 remained in Europe forever. My grandfathers both served in the 1st World War and my mother’s father lost 2 of his brothers at Vimy Ridge. My own father served for 25 years in the Canadian Air Force and for 4 long years worked as a bomb disposal expert on the Maginot Line. In many ways he never came back from the war.

The Legendary Pink Dots are an influential, staggeringly prolific group led by enigmatic frontman Edward Ka-Spel. Emerging from the early-'80s post-punk underground and sometimes categorized as industrial due to associations with bands like Skinny Puppy, the group's music is nearly impossible to pin down, drawing from Krautrock, ambient, folk, synth pop, and numerous other styles.
