This is CD premiere of one of the best and also the most underrated, soft-progressive rock albums ever recorded in UK! The sole, eponymous LP of this British band was released in 1973 by EMI Columbia label, unfortunately in France only! There's no infomtation available about the band (even their first names) except the fact they came from Telford area in Shropshire and were previously known as Fluff. The music itself is best described as very melodic, early Badfinger (well done vocal harmonies, catchy melodies) combined with George Harrison (beautiful electric / acoustic guitars sound), some hard rock (on few tracks) and progressive rock influences (occasional mellotron passages, changing moods). It's an album which can't be missed!

The Monkees were talented singers, musicians, and songwriters who made a handful of the finest pop singles of their day (as well as a few first-rate albums) and delivered exciting, entertaining live shows. But at a time when rock music was becoming more self-conscious and "serious," the hipper echelons of the music press often lambasted the Monkees, largely because they didn't come together organically but through the casting process for a television series, and they initially didn't write the bulk of their own material or play all the instruments on their records….

Before T. Rex assaulted the world with their glam rock party in the early '70s, there was the folk duo Tyrannosaurus Rex. Although both bands were fronted by flamboyant singer/guitarist/songwriter Marc Bolan, the earlier outfit was the polar opposite of the style of music that would later become synonymous with Bolan. Tyrannosaurus Rex originally formed in September of 1967 as a duo after Bolan split from his previous band, John's Children. Joining Bolan in the band was percussionist/bongo player Steve Peregrin Took, a gentleman that Bolan named after a character in The Lord of the Rings novel series.

If you’re looking for an album that will make you melt, Luke Maxim’s Stay is it. For the majority, the album is comprised of covers, which just adds to his “Buble-esque” style. However, with original tracks like the upbeat “Sunshine,” Maxim brings jazz back in a whole new way. His vocals are smooth like honey, and the gorgeous instrumentals behind him only add to this stunning track. It’s so refreshing to hear music like this again. The title track of the album, “Stay,” is a subtly beautiful track, and each line just oozes this hypnotizing power. If you don’t melt listening to this, I have no hope for you. It’s a plea, an expression of restless fear, and the start of the madness love can cause. The track builds, and I find myself holding my breath waiting for the each verse…

Ever since Running Wild began to slide after their The Rivalry album, fans had been clamoring for a return to form and even after their reunion, things still hadn’t been quite fully back up to par yet. But a Swedish band named Blazon Stone sailed into the port with their fabulous Return to Port Royal album that emulated Rock’n’Rolf’s sound, just way better and more energetic than the original and now Argentina is throwing in a candidate for the “I sound more like Running Wild than Running Wild” contest in the form of Buenos Aires-based quintet Skull & Bones and their debut album The Cursed Island…

For their final (of two) projects for Columbia Records in the mid-'70s, Mark Volman (Flo) (vocals/guitar) and Howard Kaylan (Eddie) (vocals) serve up a mixed bag of rockers as only Flo & Eddie can. With the exception of the Turtles' "Elenore" and "Guns" – the latter of which features a shared credit with former Turtles' and Mother of Invention bandmate Jim Pons – the remainder of Moving Targets (1976) was written entirely by the pair. While their lyrics might come off as cynical (read: realistic) or whiney to some, they counteract the typical pop/rock fare by presenting the listener with an undeniably fresh vantage point.

Under Jolly Roger is the third studio album by Running Wild. This album marked a stylistic turning point in which the group dropped the Satanic imagery they had previously used and adopted the pirate theme they would become known for, creating and influencing the later named Pirate metal subgenre of heavy metal in the 2000s in the process. The album's title comes from the famous Jolly Roger, the flag used by pirates to identify their ships.
