Roger Waters Best of

In The Flesh was a series of worldwide concert tours by Roger Waters that spanned three individual tours over the course of three years (1999, 2000, and 2002). Returning from a 12-year-long hiatus from the road, In The Flesh was a showcase of his best known work from his days with Pink Floyd, with that material dominating shows. Songs were also performed from Waters' most recently released solo album, 1992's Amused to Death, being played live for the first time. The tour's name is an allusion to the 1977 Pink Floyd tour for the Animals album, as well as the two songs so titled on the album The Wall.

Rare Limited Vinyl Issue. Manufactured in EU as a 180 gram digitally remastered vinyl pressing. Brilliant greatest hits album in that it manages to sound like a mega concept album in the way that the music from different stages of the band's history and development are woven together so seamlessly like …as if in a dreamscape. The edits of Echoes and Shine on you Crazy Diamond as well as samplers of briefer lesser known compositions (that segue between the famous songs) are really well done.

Being the quintessential album rock band, Pink Floyd hasn't had much luck with "best-of" and "greatest-hits" compilations, like A Collection of Great Dance Songs and the bizarro follow-up, Works. Since both of those were released in the early '80s (and time travel being unavailable even to Pink Floyd), they obviously left out any tracks from the post-Roger Waters era albums. While countless hours in dorm rooms have been spent laboring over whether or not the post-Waters recordings should even be considered the "real Floyd," the later albums nonetheless stand as a further progression in the band's evolution and warrant recognition…

The 2001 release Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd does just that, sequencing the tracks non-chronologically in an effort to place more emphasis on the individual songs as opposed to the era they're from.

A brand new career spanning Best Of that includes all the hit singles off the latest "Rain or Shine" album as well as a rare version of "The Living Years." Paul Melvyn Carrack is an English singer, songwriter and musician who has recorded as both a solo artist and as a member of several popular bands. The BBC dubbed Carrack "The Man with the Golden Voice", and described him as "something of a national treasure". William Pinfold of Record Collector remarked: "If vocal talent equalled financial success, Paul Carrack would be a bigger name than legends such as Phil Collins or Elton John."

This carefully chosen double CD compilation showcases the best of his work from three decades of creativity.
