Wiener Philharmoniker, Karl Bohm - Bruckner: Symphonies 7 & 8 (1977) [Japan 2019] SACD ISO + DSD64 + Hi-Res FLAC

Karl Böhm, Wiener Philharmoniker - Bruckner: Symphonies Nos. 7 & 8 (1977) [Japan 2019]
SACD Rip | 2x SACD ISO | DSD64 2.0 > 1-bit/2.8224 MHz | 146:28 minutes | Front/Rear Covers | 3,96 GB
or DSD64 2.0 Stereo (from SACD-ISO to Tracks.dsf) > 1-bit/2.8224 MHz | Front/Rear Covers | 3,55 GB
or FLAC Stereo (carefully converted & encoded to tracks) 24bit/96 kHz | Front/Rear Covers | 3,04 GB

Led by Karl Böhm, the 3rd and 4th symphonies have long been recognised as classics of the Gramophone, but the ‘Vienna Philharmonic Bruckner cycle’ also contains several less-familiar recordings. Böhm's lyrical and expansive approach to Bruckner is probably best suited to the 7th symphony, which was certainly the best recorded legacy. Also on the disc the eight symphony of the Nowak edition, including the 1976 studio recording for Deutsche Grammophon.

Carlo Maria Giulini, Wiener Symphoniker & Chicago SO - Bruckner: Symphonies 2 & 9 (1975 & 1977) SACD ISO + DSD64 + FLAC

Carlo Maria Giulini, Vienna SO & Chicago SO - Bruckner: Symphonies 2 & 9 (1975/1977) [Japan 2018]
SACD Rip | 2x SACD ISO | DSD64 2.0 > 1-bit/2.8224 MHz | 121:32 minutes | Basic Scans included | 3,23 GB
or DSD64 2.0 Stereo (from SACD-ISO to Tracks.dsf) > 1-bit/2.8224 MHz | Basic Scans included | 2,82 GB
or FLAC Stereo (carefully converted & encoded to tracks) 24bit/96 kHz | Basic Scans included | 2,55 GB

In 1974, Carlo Maria Giulini and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra recorded Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 2 in C minor for EMI, an unusual selection for the time but one the conductor had chosen among a number of core works he wished to interpret with this orchestra. The Bruckner's Ninth dated from 1976, with Chicago Symphony Orchestra, is among the finest ever recorded. The CSO's brass players were born to play Bruckner, and Giulini combines toughness with an Italianate singing quality to make the third movement particularly memorable and elegiac.
Wilhelm Furtwangler, Berliner Philharmoniker - The Radio Recordings 1939-1945 (2019) [22x SACD Set] SACD ISO + Hi-Res FLAC

Wilhelm Furtwängler, Berliner Philharmoniker - The Radio Recordings 1939-1945 (2019) [22x SACD Set]
SACD Rip | SACD ISO | DSD64 2.0 > 1-bit/2.8224 MHz | 21:42:34 hours | Scans NOT included | ~ 36,45 GB
or FLAC 2.0 (converted with foobar2000 to tracks) 24bit/96 kHz | Front, Scans NOT included | ~ 27,8 GB

The radio recordings between 1939 and 1945 with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Wilhelm Furtwangler are among classical music's most compelling sound documents. Created at the peak of the collaboration between orchestra and conductor, Furtwangler's artist personality is conveyed more vividly than anywhere else. What can be heard is music in which inspiration and the expressive will know no bounds and in which, not least, the existential experience of the Second World War reverberates. For the first time, the Berliner Philharmoniker are releasing a complete edition of these recordings.
