Sass Jordan is one of the premiere female rock singers in history, selling over one million albums worldwide. While she has touched upon Blues over her 40-year career, this is the first time she has focused exclusively on creating an album of songs in this tradition, that showcase her talent as a Blues singer. As Jordan acknowledges: ''The blues has always been a huge part of my life. It's a big part of what I grew up with. It's been there through my entire career.''

Few observers expected that Whitney Houston's first big-screen role in 1992's The Bodyguard would generate a phenomenon. Not that the film itself was a phenomenon – it was a healthy success, due not only to Houston, but to her co-star Kevin Costner's drawing power – but the soundtrack's success was astonishing. The Bodyguard followed Houston's cover of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" to the top of the charts, and once they got there, neither the single nor the album budged for weeks. "I Will Always Love You" spent a record-shattering 14 weeks in the top slot, while The Bodyguard spent 20 weeks at number one, eventually selling over 15 million copies and winning the Grammy award for Album of the Year.

Norman Jeffrey "Jeff" Healey was a blind Canadian jazz and blues-rock vocalist and guitarist who attained musical and personal popularity, particularly in the 1980s and 1990s. He reached the Top 10 in Canada with the songs "I Think I Love You Too Much" and "How Long Can a Man Be Strong." Hell to Pay is the second album by The Jeff Healey Band. It was released in 1990, and was one of the top albums in Canada. In 1991 it was nominated for an "Album of the Year" Juno. Guest musicians on the album include George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bobby Whitlock and Mark Knopfler. The album was recorded at Le Studio in Morin Heights, Quebec, Canada in January and February 1990.

One of Canada's busiest artists, Steve Marriner has proven himself to be a versatile and highly skilled musician, songwriter and producer. In addition to winning nine Maple Blues Awards as a harmonica player and vocalist on his own, he has won another ten Maple Blues, two Canadian Indie Music, two JUNOs and one American Blues Music awards as one-third of swamp rockers MonkeyJunk. Steve has performed in studio and on stage with some of Canada's top blues and rock artists such as Colin James, Sass Jordan and Matt Andersen… and 2018's album with Harry Manx under the banner 'Manx Marriner Mainline' turned heads on both sides of the border.
