Having performed on the side of pop stars like Björk and Alex Paterson (The Orb), Jonas Thor Gudmundsson has been keeping track of the pop business for some time now, and maybe with talents like him we are already seeing the dawn of a new generation in Skandinavian electronic music like Sigur Ros, Mùm or Royskopp. Today, the incredible talent of Ruxpin, to compose beautiful songs out of dreamy melodies and electronic grooves, can already only be witnessed with great admiration in each of the 14 tracks on "Avalon" - sensitive melanchony and fragile romance in it's purest form. Dreamchaser is classical crossover superstar Sarah Brightman's first studio recording in five years. The offering was inspired by her decision to become the first singer in outer space. She has already spent time training, and is scheduled to blast off to the International Space Station in 2015. Mike Hedges and Sally Herbert (the latter formerly of the Banderas) helmed these sessions with heavy hands and regal elegance.

The music for the series is composed by Ramin Djawadi. The first season's soundtrack, written in about ten weeks before the show's premiere, was published by Varèse Sarabande in June 2011. Soundtrack albums for the subsequent seasons have also been published, featuring tracks performed by the bands The National, The Hold Steady and Sigur Rós.
The series' instrumental title music has been covered numerous times. Lyrics were added for the first time in 2014, when "Weird Al" Yankovic performed a parody version during the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards presentation. In 2015, Forte Tenors added lyrics based on High Valyrian text for their operatic performance and music video, released in March.

A rather quiet & lesser-known duo of Richard Cupolo & John Emanuele hailing from New York City. The American Dollar are a reminiscent of such well-known Post-Rock acts as Sigur Ros, The Album Leaf, and Explosions In The Sky, but still manage to produce their own original & cinematic sound. The American Dollar's music can be seen as sections of atmospheric & ambient pieces and mixing it with huge orchestral rock but with a slight influence of Electronic music.
